Equator / Lightpad Block / Ableton Live automation issue

Hi,
When I use Lightpad in RISE controller mode to control Equator's macros (in this case LightPad is not used as a Control Surface but as a classic MIDI Track input), automation in Ableton Live is recorded both inside the clip (as MIDI Ctrl data = automation of CCs) AND on the track (as "Macro 1, Macro2, etc...). This makes the automation impossible to edit ; when playing back the track, the automation inside the clip takes over the automation on the track. The "Re-enable automation" arrow is lit and the track automation is greyed out. (See attached file)
Has anyone encountered this issue ? What is the workaround ? The ideal would be to only record the automation on the track and not inside the midi clip.
