Is it safe to play Rise49 in vertical orientation?

For Certain types of styles  (Indian Ragas kind) I find it easier and more expressive to play by resting one side on my shoulder and playing vertically, like you would play some traditional instruments like esRaj, Sarangi etc.

Would this playing style affect the Rise 49 physically in any way or is it safe?

The Natural resting position of it when not in use is still flat tabletop.

Hi Amit,

We recommend playing the RISE on a flat steady surface, to avoid any risk of the pressure exerted on the keywaves warping the chassis of the instrument. If you are resting the RISE against your body, and being careful with the amount of pressure you are exerting you may be okay, but we wouldn't recommend playing the RISE like this.

Kind regards,

Marcus
