would be a nice feature upgrade if the seaboard block change octave buttons were disable-able in the dashboard

Sometimes i use the glide strip at the top of the keys and it's easy to accidentally hit up or down an octave. I also just got a touch block so it would be much more intuitive and less redundant if i could disable the left and right buttons in the corners of my seaboard block.

no. the keys make octave changing a snap and I use them often.
