The draft mode (no oversampling) already helps run FXpansion synths on limited hardware but it might be nice to optimize performance a bit further.
Admittedly, my 2012 MacBook Pro is far outside the support range. In a way, it’s not even supposed to run softsynths as well as it does. Yet, apart from FXpansion synths and some Reaktor ensembles, most synths do run quite well, including fairly complex ones (like Equator).
So maybe there’s a way to tweak those synths to make them less resource-hungry? If so, that could help people on much better machines, increasing the number of voices and/or the number of instances running at the same time.
