Been thinking about this one for a while, and not just because of the “Push, Turn, Move” book. Buttons and (micro)keywaves are neat, but sliders and knobs would also make a lot of sense in the Blocks lineup. Sure, a Lightpad can emulate sliders, but the haptic feedback isn’t the same as physical sliders. Emulated knobs might be even less satisfying.
Hungarian company Intech Studio has demoed its controller prototypes at Superbooth. The Blocks inspiration might be obvious but the fact that they went the knobs and sliders route can give back some inspiration to ROLI.
