Issue

ROLI Connect appears transparent and cannot be interacted with.

Resolution

This is affecting a small number of Windows users, but our software team are aware and are busy working on a fixed build as we speak. There are some workarounds that have been shown to temporarily resolve this issue. Please try each one as listed below.

Updating graphics card drivers

Since the issue is related to the computer's graphic card, updating all graphics card drivers on your computer has been proven to work for some users. Please check for updates to your graphics card either using its proprietary software or a tool such as Ccleaner

Renaming the shortcut target

  1. Right-click on the ROLI Connect shortcut icon, usually found on the Desktop, and click Properties.
  2. In the Target box, click in the white space after ROLI Connect.exe" and hit Space.
  3. Copy and paste the term below. Make sure there is a space between this and the existing target.
--use-gl=swiftshader

See below for an example:

4. Relaunch ROLI Connect

Changing the startup application

To make sure that this altered path version opens when you start Windows, you'll need to add the shortcut to the Startup folder.

  1. Open the Run command box by pressing the Windows logo + R keys. In the Run command field, type shell: startup and then press Enter key to open Startup folder.
  2. Copy and paste the new ROLI Connect app shortcut to this Startup folder.
  3. This version of the app will now launch when you start up your PC.
