When signing up for a ROLI account, you will be classed as a minor if you are:
United States: 12 or younger.
Rest of World: 15 or younger.
Specific restrictions of a minor’s ROLI account
- Support: rules against storing the personal data of minors mean that we cannot provide support to minors by email, chat, etc. Registered guardians can request support on behalf of a minor.
NOISE.fm: a minor’s account will not allow the owner to post or share on NOISE.fm.
NOISE app: a minor cannot log into the NOISE app but can tap ‘skip’ to use NOISE in offline mode. Offline mode disables sharing, in-app purchases and cloud storage. Projects will be saved locally on the device.
ROLI Play app: there are no restrictions for minors using this app.
Editing account details: a minor cannot edit their account details on my.roli.com.
Forums: a minor can view public forums but cannot log in to post or receive posts from other users.
Registering hardware and software: minors can have full access to desktop software provided with hardware products, but will be required to provide the contact details of a parent or guardian to obtain consent before creating an account.
Restricted account due to incorrect date of birth
If you have mistakenly entered a birthday that is below the minor threshold, contact the ROLI support team and provide photo ID showing your full name. We will derestrict the account for you. ROLI will not store your ID.
Since we’re not permitted to record the birth dates of minors when their account is created, we can’t automatically derestrict an account on your birthday. If you are no longer a minor in your country, contact the ROLI support team and provide photo ID showing your name in full. We will derestrict the account for you. ROLI will not store your ID.
