Step 3. Install the Equator2 Factory Library content
Don't be tempted to open Equator2 yet! You'll need to install the library content for Equator2. After clicking the Equator2 name in the Apps tab, you will see two content libraries:
First, begin the download & installation of the larger of the two libraries, the Equator2 Library, by clicking the green “Install” button next to the Equator2 Library option:
The Equator2 Library installer is 5.2GB in size, so please ensure you have at least twice this amount (10.4GB) of free disk space to accommodate for both the installer and the installation before proceeding
The content will take some time to download. Please ensure your computer does not go to sleep during this time, to ensure the download is able to complete successfully
Once the download has completed, the installation will occur automatically and a grey "Uninstall" button will appear if the installation has been successful, and you can proceed to the next section

Step 4: Install the Equator1 Legacy Library content
The Equator1 Legacy Library* contains a curated selection of the sample instruments that were part of the original Equator release, as well as some extra sample instruments from our vaults. It is important that these samples are installed before launching Equator2 to ensure that all presets recall successfully.
As per the steps above, to install the Equator1 Legacy Library, click the green “Install” button next to the Equator1 Legacy Library option:
The Equator1 Legacy Library installer is 1.3GB in size, so please ensure you have at least twice this amount (2.6GB) of free disk space to accommodate for both the installer and the installation before proceeding
The content will take some time to download. Please ensure your computer does not go to sleep during this time, to ensure the download is able to complete successfully
Once the download has completed, the installation will occur automatically and a grey "Uninstall" button will appear if the installation has been successful
If you already own the original Equator1 software, it’s very likely that you have these samples installed already. In the event that Equator2 is unable to find any particular Equator1 instruments, you will need to install the Equator1 Legacy Library to ensure all instruments are accounted for.

Step 5: Authorise Equator2
When you launch Equator2 as a standalone application or plugin for the first time, authorisation will happen automatically unless ROLI Connect is not running, in which you'll be prompted to launch ROLI Connect.
Once authorisation has completed, Equator2 can run without requiring ROLI Connect to be running for up to 4 weeks before needing to "phone home" again. Should this occur, you'll be prompted to launch ROLI Connect again.
If you are finding that Equator2 is not authorising, please see the steps in this guide: ROLI Studio/Equator2 fails to authorise
