ROLI Airwave includes the ROLI Airwave Player, an expressive software instrument compatible with MacOS and Windows machines, featuring a wide range of inspiring sounds and captivating 3D visuals that respond dynamically to your movements.

How to set up ROLI Airwave with Piano M using the ROLI Airwave Player desktop app:

1. Open the ROLI Airwave Player app from ROLI Connect.

*For a step by step guide on how to install ROLI Airwave Control and Player, please visit this article.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the setup process.

3. Connect your ROLI Airwave directly to your computer using the USB-C cable provided.

4. Connect your Piano M to ROLI Airwave using the adapters provided. Alternatively, you can connect your Piano M to your computer using a USB cable or via Bluetooth (Mac only).

5. When used within a DAW, Air Dimensions are transmitted through a dedicated MIDI device called ROLI Airwave Expression. To play back recorded MIDI in your DAW, make sure to unarm the MIDI track to prevent live Airwave Expression data from overwriting the recorded performance. Since we’re using the desktop application in this scenario, you can simply click Next on this page.

6. Use a sustain pedal to hold notes and shape their sound by moving your hands in the air. If you don’t have a sustain pedal, you can play notes with one hand while controlling the Dimensions of Air with the other, or enable the HOLD button to free both hands for full control of the Air Dimensions.

7. Click Start on this page to begin a tutorial covering all six Dimensions of Air.

8. You can return to this page at any time by clicking the cogwheel in the top-right corner of ROLI Airwave Player and selecting Dimensions Tutorial.

9. Click Done and start exploring all six Dimensions of Air using ROLI Airwave.

With these simple steps, you can set up your ROLI Airwave and Piano M with the ROLI Airwave Player and start creating expressive music. If you encounter any issues, be sure to contact the
