When encountering issues updating Cypher2, there are two possible resolutions:
Attempted Installation while running a DAW
1.) Close your DAW
2.) Uninstall Cypher2
- On Windows, find the 'Add or Remove Programs' application to uninstall - the install may appear to hang, but will uninstall eventually),
3.) Restart your computer
4.) Install Cypher2 again
If the above steps don't resolve the issue:
1.) Remove the following files from their locations

Windows
C:\Program Files\FXpansion\Cypher2\Cypher2.exe
C:\Program Files\FXpansion\Cypher2\Cypher2.dll

Windows

2.) Restart your machine Once you've booted back up, please run the installer for v2.4.9.0 of Cypher2, and once this is complete, launching your DAW should allow Cypher2 to be scanned successfully as a VST plugin.
3.) Run the Cypher2 installer
4.) The updated version of Cypher2 should be installed
