I just installed the Equator 10.3 which is supposed to have vst3 support.
No VST3 is found by ableton, however.
Turns out the vst's are installed to common files/Steinberg instead of common files/vst3 as most programs do.
Moving the Steinberg folder into the VST3 folder fixes the problem.
Pretty sure other people will have the same question.
