ROLI Studio Player Beta v0.1.2 released - Windows 10 support

Following the success of the first ROLI Studio Player Beta version, we're pleased to announce the next update to ROLI Studio Player Beta - v0.1.2.

ROLI Studio Player Beta is now available to creators on Windows 10 (as well as macOS 10.13+)as a standalone application and 64-bit VST Plug-in. As with the original release of ROLI Studio Player Beta, we appreciate any feedback you might have regarding this update - whether it's regarding performance, usability or creativity.

Alongside this update, we've also updated ROLI Connect to v1.0.4, which is now also available on Windows and is required to authorise ROLI Studio Player Beta. This update features a number of small fixes, and can be downloaded from the links below: 

To install ROLI Studio Player Beta, simply log in to ROLI Connect with your account details, head to the Apps tab and click "Install" - once the installation has completed, you can launch ROLI Studio Player Beta as a standalone application by clicking "Open", or as a VST/AU plugin in your DAW of choice.

The same applies for the feature requests forum - we'd love to hear your ideas, and it's possible that others have suggested it if it's a particularly good one!

EDIT - v0.1.2 is a hotfix update to v0.1.1, in which macro/XY controls did not update correctly when adjusted on any connected devices.

  • Slight change to the colour scheme to improve readability and brighten the UI
  • Various other small fixes and improvements

Known issues in v0.1.2:

  • Slight delay when launching ROLI Studio Player as a VST in a DAW on Windows 10

Coming soon in ROLI Studio Player Beta:

  • Support for existing and new Equator, Strobe2 and Cypher2 presets
  • Deeper hardware integration
