I am an American composer of classical contemporary music. This is NOT a film or media project.
I am considering the composition of a major work for Roli and symphony orchestra. Let's call it a concerto for the moment. This would be a fully notated piece.
My music follows in the footsteps of Britten, Bartok, and others. And very accessible.
I have an upcoming commission for the fall 2020. It has been offered to me by a major university orchestra in the USA. I would consider it for a piece for this unique instrument.
It would require an established performer on this instrument for whom I would compose the work. The opportunity would be to perform its premiere and then elsewhere as this could create a new market in the classical and contemporary world.
