In instances where Blocks are exhibiting unexpected behavior, experiencing connection issues, or are otherwise unresponsive, first ensure your Block is fully charged and is running the latest firmware. If the problem persists, you may reset the Block.

Resetting Lightpad, Lightpad M or Seaboard Block:

Hardware reset:

  • Make sure the Block is fully charged and disconnected from any devices
  • With the Block turned on, first press and hold the Mode button, and while holding the Mode button, press the Power button briefly.

Software reset:

  • Open BLOCKS Dashboard and connect your Block via Bluetooth or USB
  • With your Block selected in BLOCKS Dashboard, navigate to the ‘Block’ menu in the menu bar
  • Click on ‘Reset Application settings’

Resetting Control Blocks:

Hardware reset:

  • With the Block turned on and disconnected from other Blocks, press and hold the Mode button of a Live or Loop Block or Strike (“V”) button on a Touch Block, for 3 seconds. The Block will power off and be reset.

Software reset:

  • Open BLOCKS Dashboard and connect your Block via Bluetooth or USB
  • With your Block selected in BLOCKS Dashboard, navigate to the ‘Block’ menu in the menu bar
  • Click on ‘Reset Application settings’
